[. . . ] Inspect the gas supply piping or hose prior to turning the gas "ON". If there is evidence of cuts, wear, or abrasion, it must be replaced prior to use. The pressure regulator and hose assembly supplied with the unit must be used. If a replacement is necessary, contact the factory for proper replacement. Leak check the hose and regulator connections with a soap and water solution before operating the grill (see assembly instruction). TO LIGHT THE GRILL BURNER: Turn all knobs to "OFF" then turn on the gas supply. Always keep your face and body as far from the grill as possible when lighting. Open the lid, push and turn one control knob to the "HI" position and press the electric igniter for 3 to 4 seconds to light the burner. TO MATCH LIGHT THE GRILL: If the burner will not light after several attempts then the burner can be match lit. If you've just attempted to light the burner with the igniter, allow 5 minutes for any accumulated gas to dissipate. Insert a lit extended match or lighter through the cooking grids to the burner. Press the control knob and rotate left to the HI setting which should release the gas. Push and turn the control knob which is centered on the burner to "HI". If the burner does not light in 4 seconds turn the knob off, wait 5 minutes and try again. TO LIGHT THE ROTIS BURNER: Open the lid, push and turn the control knob to the "HI" position. If the burner does not light within 4 seconds, turn the control knob to "OFF". If the igniter does not function, the burner can be lit by holding a lit match to the burner (with the control knob at "HI"). Keep a spray bottle of soapy water near the gas supply valve and check the connections before each use.
